The Lone Star Award is given by the Texas Association for Play Therapy to local chapters exhibiting outstanding service to membership and to the promotion of play therapy and the credentialing of Registered Play Therapists.  Several criteria need to be met in order to receive this award and our Chapter is proud to be the first Lone Star Award recipient in the state of Texas!  We received the award at the Annual TAPT conference in Houston.


        
Update regarding our May 12th, 2012 meeting: 

We are sad to announce that our speakers for May 12 have cancelled. We will still have a meeting as we would like to offer a forum for sharing toys, techniques or books that you find helpful in play therapy. Bring your favorites and a finger food if you wish. We will network with playful professionals and enjoy our usual refreshments.  Regretfully, we can not offer any CEU's for this May 12th, 2012 meeting.
