About the event
In this workshop, we will be reviewing different racial identity development models to understand how we as humans move through different stages of change to understand our own racial identity as well as those of others. We will discuss how to create anti-racist clinical spaces for the play therapy session as well as understand how to identify our own racial identity development to minimize harm in the playroom. Lastly, we will look at body and sensory oriented play techniques to aid in healing racial wounds. Time will be reserved for questions and answers to process the material presented.
Registration will be open for Chapter Members ONLY. Tickets will be opened for non-members if space allows.

About the Presenter:
Antoinette Martinez, M.Ed. is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (Texas License #71350) who has experience working with children, teens, and adults. She is a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy, a Certified EMDR Consultant through EMDRIA, and certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Antoinette Martinez has been integrating EMDR with Play
Therapy since 2013 and teaching, training, and leading discussion groups on race and diversity since 2020. Antoinette owns a group private practice and provides business consultation to other mental health professionals.
Registration cancellation refund requests should be submitted to North Texas Chapter in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org. The registration fee will be refunded only if the request is received by the date of training. North Texas Chapter reserves the right to cancel this training in the event of unforeseen circumstances. If such occurs, North Texas Chapter will attempt to notify registrants prior to the event and refund all registration, workshop, and continuing education fees.
